Yeti ASR 5

Yeti ASR 5

The versatility of the Yeti ASR5, it’s ability to tackle large rocks and roots but still maintain a firm cross-country race feel makes it our number one choice for 2011.

Part of the secret of the bicycle is the perfectly balanced and tune front and rear suspension. It’s engineered to ride a bit stiffer in the mid-stroke of the travel. This gives it a similar feel to a sport-tuned suspension on a performance car. You can feel the trail so the bike has a lively, aggessive feel on the trail. The low bottom bracket and neutral steering geometry keep the bike controlled and predictable when you bring it up to speed and it carves turns extremely well – due in part to the amazing stiffness of the frame/axle system.

If you have been holding on to your hardtail or short travel bike because you worry about compromising efficiency or weight, you gotta throw a leg over this bike and give it a spin.

  1. Currently we have a 2011 ASR5 Alloy with the new Shimano 30-speed XT Dynasys components in stock

  2. Oops that didn’t last long. Joe has already been enjoying his new Yeti for a month now.

  3. I took my ASR 5 Alloy out for my second only ever MTB ride at Laurel Lake KY this past weekend, and it was great. Totally made up for my lack of skill, experience, and bravery. The frame constuction felt stiff in all the right places, and the full suspension meant that after 3 hours on the trails, I was still in great shape for the 3 hour drive home.

    Another great bike from RBO!

  4. Let’s see a picture of the new machine in action!

  5. Have you guys at Reser ever been out to the Yeti factory in Golden, CO? Wow, what an amazing place. Talk about trail envy. There are literally a dozen trails of varying difficulty and terrain within a mile or 2 from the factory. Glad to see you’re selling Yeti. By far and away the best bang for your buck in mountain bikes and the coolest owner group by far!

  6. BTW, I know that most of these bikes aren’t built in Golden anymore but their HQ/Factory is very impressive!
